This is more info I just received from Sophos about the CW Automate add-in. The user account is apparently pre-selected as local System account.

The Windows Installer runs as System, which doesn’t require the User to be an Admin.

MacOS doesn’t have a Thin Installer currently, so it won’t be part of the Automate Add-on. You will need to download the installer per customer.

Here is the Sophos Central Deployment KB, which has some Terminal Options for MacOS. It will also require an Admin Login to perform the installation via command line using sudo.

Per our phone conversation today we’re trying to find out any additional steps that would be needed for setting up Windows server/desktop deployment for Sophos via the Connectwise Automate add-on, and if there’s a way to do the installations silently as either a domain user account or as the local System account? Not all of our users are local admins so we can’t count on them having the required permissions available to deploy the installs silently without running as a different user account.

Also, is there a way to automate deploying the MacOS endpoint installer through Connectwise and are there requirements for the OSX version, IE: does the OS version need to be 10.13+?
