ConnectWise Ticket Assistant

Tim,

We need this emergency patch applied after hours.  It's not published in Windows Update, only available from the Catalog.  It resolves an issue we had today with a client and we expect it to hit some more.  This affects Server 2022 so maybe a target approach and if we can also target it even further to servers running the RDS or Remote Desktop Services role that would be even better.  If not spray every 2022 server.

It does require a reboot so [@Victor](mailto:[email protected]) how do you want to handle that, so we don’t have 20 servers reboot all the same time with the possibility of some not coming up.  We don’t want to overwhelm the Tech Team either if that were to happen.

[@LabTech Expert](mailto:[email protected]) - We for sure need it applied to “The Ryding Company” and to their “TRCORD4” server tonight with a reboot.  I will let [@Victor](mailto:[email protected]) determine the best time for that to happen as the client does work late, but[@LabTech Expert](mailto:[email protected]) is also on the East Coast so timing will need to be figured out.

We need to do this update to Allegent group’s HAL server as well.
It is 2019 and is affected per the PS command returning the 9245 = server is affected.

Chiming in here a bit, it looks like this is a patch chain that hit all server versions. Looks like each OS Year has a different patch to fix it;

If you can please provide us a breakdown then we can provide a breakdown of how many server we can afford to push the update to on a nightly basis.

1st Goal: Apply the update to all 2016, 2019, 2022, and 2025 servers tonight after I would say 7pm PST.
2nd Goal: Reboot all patched servers based on [@Victor](mailto:[email protected])’s direction on how many per night to reboot and when.  The Ryding Company being one that is for sure rebooted tonight after the patch.

We have the what, we just need the when from Victor.

We had user yesterday that lost the work they were working on due to the 1 min notification to hop off the server

You provided no information about that other server. Please let me know if I need to apply to it tonight.

I'm unable to provide notification to all users on an RDS server. A notification can only be sent to the console. I would suggest going into the servers and doing so from Windows.

The 8 servers that we had scheduled from 7-8 for today are good to push the patch

We have created another batch of the remaining 7 servers that we can hopefully get approval from the client for this coming Monday morning.
